This is the COVID-19 Update from the Allegheny County Health Department for Oct. 15, 2021. In the last 24 hours, 493 new cases were reported to the Health Department. Of these, 356 are confirmed cases and 137 are probable cases. The age groups of the newly reported cases follow: ... Age Group Cases 00-04 15 05-12 29 13-18 45 19-24 33 25-49 181 50-64 111 65+ 79 The gender of the newly reported cases also follow: Gender Cases Female 257 Male 236 There was one (1) new death reported. The death occurred this month and was associated with a long-term care facility. The person was in the 65+ age group. Since March 14, 2020 there have been 126,989 cases of COVID-19 in Allegheny County residents, 8,550 hospitalizations and 2,232 deaths. This is the COVID-19 Daily Update from the Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD) for November 12, 2020. In the last 24 hours, 412 new cases were reported to the Health Department. Of these, 341 are confirmed cases from 1,725 new PCR tests. There are 71 probable cases. New cases range in age from 11 months to 98 years with a median age of 38 years. The dates of positive tests ranged from October 28 to November 11. Only one positive test is more than a week old. As the numb...er of cases in Allegheny County continues to increase, the Health Department asks residents to help control the spread: Please, pick up the phone when a Health Department case investigator calls and answer their questions; As we spend more time indoors around others, keep physical distance and wear masks; Avoid parties and gatherings, even among your family and friends. There were three new deaths reported. The dates of death ranged from November 9 to November 11. One person was in their 60s. One person was in their 70s. One person was in their 90s. All the deaths were associated with long-term care facilities. Of these, 1,481 are confirmed cases from 5,106 new PCR tests. There are 166 probable cases. New cases range in age from 2 weeks to 100 years with a median age of 45 years. The dates of positive tests ranged from October 20 to December 13. Twenty-six (26) positive tests are more than a week old.... There were five new deaths reported. The dates of death ranged from November 27 to December 12. One person was in their 60s. Three people were in their 70s. One person was in their 80s. Three deaths were associated with long-term care facilities. Two of the deaths were associated with long-term care facilities. The Health Department has no further information to release on the individual in their 20s who died.
