Allegheny Township Police Department 18.10.2021

The Allegheny Township Police Department will not forget the 2,977 victims of 9/11, which included 412 first responders. We also will not forget the unity this great nation displayed following that cowardly attack. May God bless the United States of America on this day of remembrance and may God return us to the unity and brotherly love displayed on 9/12/2001.

*** CRASH INVESTIGATION *** On August 31, 2021, at 07:51 hours, the Allegheny Township Police Department was dispatched to conduct a motor vehicle crash investigation at the Summit Athletic Club. This one vehicle crash resulted with the driver (only occupant) being transported to UPMC Altoona Hospital for treatment. The driver was entering a parking space and depressed the accelerator instead of brake, causing the vehicle to "jump" the curb, crash through a fence and land p...artially on the roof of the Summit building, suspended approximately 20' above the ground. No other people were injured as a result of this crash. The Allegheny Twp. Volunteer Fire Co. was assisted on scene by the Duncansville Volunteer Fire Co. and the Hollidaysburg Volunteer Fire Co. Duncansville EMS and AMED also responded to the scene. A special thank you to Bryce Saylor & Sons for sending a crane and to PAB/KarPro Towing and Burchfield's Towing for their quick response.
