Should you get a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination if you have allergies? The short answer is almost everyone should. Individuals with a history of food, pet, insect, venom, environmental, or latex allergies are able to proceed with vaccination. Those with a history of severe allergic reaction (e.g. anaphylaxis) to an injectable medication or vaccination should use caution when receiving the vaccine and follow a 30-minute observation period if vaccinated with the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. Those with a history of severe allergic reaction to any component of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine should not be vaccinated with the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

Today is National Dog Day! Please share pictures of your puppies to help celebrate! We all love our fur babies but what do you do if you're allergic? Medication? Allergy Injections? This year's start to the school year will have many challenges. ACAAI has some helpful information to get you and your child prepared. REMINDER: It's best to get your child's school forms completed prior to the first day of school. Our office requires 48 hours to complete these forms.

Important to remember

Keeping our patients and staff safe and healthy is our number one priority! So as we transition to the green zone, we will still require everyone to wear a mask. We continue to ask our 18 and older patients to come alone to appointments and allergy injections and our 18 and under have one adult accompany them. We truly appreciate everyone's cooperation!!!!
