AFRS has had a busy week. Numerous Emergengy calls for service that included several brush fires, structure fires, vehicle accidents, and special service calls ...for Rescue 77, and Truck 77. As you will see in the pictures below New Truck 77’s exterior is complete. Thanks to TheFireStore for the great lettering. We were able to snap a few pictures before the truck headed to Specialized Fire Equipment Service in Middletown, PA to have all the equipment mounted. Watch their FB page for updates. We are excited to have this final step completed. Last fundraiser of the year starts November 13th till November 14th great craft vendors and food. Hope to see you there. See more

The craft show that is held each November at the Union (Felton) station has been moved to the Leo (Red Lion) station so we have the room for social distancing due to Covid-19. Please come out and support these great vendors and eat some food from our kitchen. Thanks!

AFRS personnel had a busy weekend with several calls for service. One call was dispatched as an automatic fire alarm but turned into a fire in the kitchen. Quick actions from our crews held the fire to the stove (point of origin). Today crews still found time to do some training and refresh our skills at an acquired structure. Evolutions of firefighter self rescue, forceable entry, vent enter search, and truck company operations were done. Thanks to Thornton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram for the call and use of the acquired structure.

Operational members participated in the departmental company level burn today at York County Fire School. The focus of today’s burn was engine company and truck company skills. Members strengthened such skills as hose line management, forcible entry, and Vent/Enter/Search with victim removal. Thank you to our members for an all out effort. (Photo credit member Kim Grim)

New Truck 77 is home. We had the pleasure to ask Life member and one of our top FADO’s to drive the new truck home! Thanks Mark PAP Moyer for helping get the truck home. Now the next few days will be getting the graphics completed. Stay tuned for the final look of Truck 77!
