Vinny is LOVING his rehabilitation! He is feeling good and strutting his stuff! Rehab is a long process, Vinny is a year in and 4 months in with me, so playing IS allowed. There is so much to consider when choosing rehabilitation for an equine injury. There is a lot of information and companies out there pushing products and "miracle cures". The best advise I have is get yourself a great team, veterinarian, rehabilitation practitioner, and willing barn staff. A very cold windy rehab day for this guy! Vinny forgot today that he is in a rehab program! Lots of snorting and prancing at the start but we calmed down and had some nice trot/walk transitions. After all the excitement Vinny took a couple weird steps. Ah the joys of rehab! We cant expect them to be perfect every time, every step. Its knowing when to push and when to stop is the trickest part. We have build strength but strength does not come without soreness and effort. They will be sore, they will be weak but staying that way is not helping. Happy riding everyone!
