((This is CAP approved by Jeff Woytovich)) Who would like to earn $200? If you said yes and have been diagnosed with any form of alopecia in the last 10 years a...nd you are between the ages of 18 and 60, here you go! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9TCGX95 Participation in the 4-day online community will be approximately 20-30 minutes a day answering questions, providing perspective, and sharing insight. Activities may include some video journaling, scrapbooking, verbal, and written response to questions. Activities will be designed to gather further insight surrounding the Alopecia journey. The online community will open Tuesday, January 19th with a scheduled conclusion after Friday, January 22nd. In addition to the activities, participants will have the opportunity to communicate anonymously in a closed forum with other participants, this is separate from the study itself and is made available as a resource should the participants want to discuss Alopecia-related topics with other vetted participants. The platform we will be using for the online community is Recollective. The format of this qualitative study will be double-blind, where participants are not disclosed to the end client nor will the end client disclosed to participants. The study findings will be used to design a support group and a primary focus is spotlighting unmet needs within the Alopecia community. As a thank you, participants will receive a Check for $200. Happy New Year CAP family!! 2020 was not my most favorite year but then I thought, good stuff really did happen! I guess it is just like the news, we only remem...ber the bad while the good vanishes from our memory all too soon. So, my advice to you is simple. In 2021, do the best for others as you possibly can. Go to this website, https://www.thetoptens.com/lists/ and do not seek out the Top 10 worst things, only look for the Top 10 best things. Be the change you want to see in the world is attributed to Gandhi and although it is great advice the full quote is even better! We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a person changes their own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards them. This is the divine mystery supreme. A wonderful thing it is and the source of our happiness. We need not wait to see what others do. Mahatma Gandhi Having children with Alopecia is challenging for all the reasons that you already know but our hope is for the world to see them and all of their potential as we see them. Goodbye, 2020 and hello 2021, Happy New Year, and here’s to being our best and always seeing the best in others! Sincerely, Jeff Woytovich, Founder, President & CEO Children's Alopecia Project, Inc.

The Children's Alopecia Project (CAP) is the only 501(c)3 nonprofit devoted specifically to children living with the incurable autoimmune hair loss disease, Alo...pecia. Fortunately, it is not painful, contagious, or life-threatening, your body attacks the hair follicles, paralyzing them and the hair just falls out. Sometimes just in small patches, sometimes all over the body. CAP co-founder, Betsy Gibney Woytovich wrote: "Francie Puts On Her Courage, for all children and their parents, not just dealing with alopecia, but for everyone dealing with their feelings of being different. Guess what? We are all different, that makes us all normal. Francie is your everyday 6th grader who loves basketball and excels in art when suddenly her hair starts to fall out. As she deals with her diagnosis of Alopecia and the stigma of being different in middle school, Francie’s journey becomes difficult at times. But with help from her best friend Livy, her parents, and sister, Francie finds support, discovers an unrevealed talent, and eventually feels strong enough to put on her courage! We have a new CAP Kid Mentor in the family, Dalen L. Spratt!! Dalen reached out because he had alopecia areata growing up and always wanted to help and boom! He...re he is and with CAP! Dalen is the lead for the Travel Channel's hit show, "Ghost Brothers" in addition to much more! When we are able to have group events in Atlanta, he's there. When we start having CAP Kid Camps, Alopeciapalooza, and Calipalooza, as long as schedules work, he's there! I will also be interviewing him on an upcoming CAP Chat that will be announced soon. Get to know him by reading the following and don't forget to say hello. Dalen L. Spratt has been a trendsetter and on target to succeed since childhood. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, he is the epitome of a true southern gentleman, thanks to his mother and 8 aunts who raised him. Spratt has been featured on both BET’s Hell Date and VH1’s I Want to Work for Diddy Season 2, where he radiantly stood apart from his competition. His unique, polished fashion sense attracted attention from the ladies who have dubbed him the "Black Zack Morris. Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Clark Atlanta University with both a B.A. and M.B.A in Marketing by the age of 23, Spratt has proven that he is truly a success-driven individual. In the winter of 2007, Spratt journeyed to Beijing, China, to study abroad at Capital Normal University, where he became engulfed in international business and international marketing. Spratt’s extensive marketing background has granted him a plethora of opportunities that include a competitive internship at Yahoo! in their entertainment marketing department. At Yahoo!, Spratt created an extensive marketing proposal to effectively cross-promote all entertainment properties. Embarking on his entrepreneurial path, Spratt had the idea to create a social utility that finished where MySpace and Facebook started. Spratt’s mission was to create more than a social network, but a social utility that appealed to the entire collegiate market an internet resource that would bridge the gap between corporate America and college students. It would serve as a liaison between the two by directly connecting the consumer to products through effective advertising and discounts from partner companies. Spratts’ next business venture was an online food delivery service that allowed restaurants in the Best Southwest region of Dallas, TX, to outsource their meal deliveries. As a result of his efforts, Spratt was featured on the front page of 3 local newspapers. Mr. Spratt spent two seasons working with The Mo’Nique Show on BET as a wardrobe stylist. In his spare time, he wrote and self-published his first book, "A Mother's Guide to Manhood", dedicated solely to single mothers raising sons. As a result, Spratt and his mother were invited onto The Mo'Nique Show as featured guests. Spratt has spent the last 10 years perfecting and growing his clothing brand, Loren Spratt. Loren Spratt is a classic American brand that provides subtle nuances for a tailored gentleman. With clients such as BET Networks, STARZ, and musician Lecrae, the Loren Spratt brand has been featured in numerous television marketing campaigns, magazine publications (Essence, D Weddings, Black Enterprise, etc.), and award ceremonies (Grammys, NAACP Image Awards, etc.) These prominent features have lead the brand and its clients to receive such accolades as "Grammys Best Dressed" and "2015 Best Dressed Groomsmen". Spratts' newest project is the record-breaking television series "Ghost Brothers", featured on Travel Channel. As a budding enthusiast of paranormal investigation, Spratt takes a passionate hobby to the next level in some of the country's most haunted locations. Mr. Spratt believes that entrepreneurs are not made, but born. He appreciates other cultures and draws inspiration from the different people and places he encounters. While studying abroad in Beijing and Shanghai, Spratt was able to effectively refine his taste and tailor his image into an "eclectic brand". Truly understanding the inspiration behind this way of living, Mr. Spratt hopes to enlighten the public at large, while intimately inspiring a fashionable movement. The Loren Spratt brand has been customized and polished into an elegant lifestyle. #dalenspratt, #childrensalopeciaproject, #GhostBrothers
