Altoona English and Culture Club

Tonight was our first night of classes for this year. We had several new students and we are excited to start our best year ever!

Altoona English and Culture Club is beginning our fourth year of teaching English! Classes are held on Monday nights starting Sept. 13th from 6-8pm at the Altoona Alliance Church. Classes for all ability levels, as well as citizenship and conversational English classes, are available. Free childcare. If you know of any local internationals who need help with learning English, please tell them about altoonaenglishclub.com or call 814-204-2184.

Classes will be restarting soon. If you are interested in joining a class or volunteering, please reach out to us. We will be happy to have you!

Next week (Monday, May 17), we will hold our last session until next fall. We hope to see all of our students and volunteers for an end of semester party. Come celebrate the 2020-2021 year with us!

Tonight, we celebrated our volunteers with a thank you dinner Thanks for all you do!

We are looking for childcare volunteers for our program on Monday nights from 6-8 PM. Must have clearances. We have been adding more and more kiddos each week. It’s a fun group with a lot of energy! Come build relationships with our international friends.

We had a full group in the children’s room tonight at ESL. After a few weeks off due to weather, it was a joy to be together.

Happy holidays to all of our students and volunteers! We are on break until January 4. We will see you in a few weeks!

We have in-person classes tonight. We meet from 6-7:30. We love meeting our Altoona neighbors from so many different countries!
