Here are some progress photos of the Chestnut Street Stone Arch in the City of Philadelphia. AEG assisted with the design of the temporary excavation and support protection system for this structure very carefully as to not disrupt the 150-year-old arch. AEG serves as a subconsultant to Buckley & Company on this $100M+ construction project that also involves the rehabilitation of seven additional structures in the University City area.

#TBT - A cool look at how much this section of US 11/15 in Cumberland and Perry Counties, PA has changed over the years! AEG served as the Prime Consultant for this award-winning project, which involved a 200-ton crane, a helicopter, and 1.25 miles of drilling into the rock face. A 90-day road closure was allowed for this project. We were able to successfully open the road after only 55 days. #throwbackthursday #construction #projecthighlight

Toboyne Township, in conjunction with PennDOT District 8-0, will present an online plans display for two culvert replacements along SR 3002 (Horse Valley Road). The two existing structures along Horse Valley Road are located in Toboyne Township, Perry County and consist of dual corrugated metal pipe culverts. The existing structures over Horse Valley Run are separated by approximately 1,000 feet and are roughly 3.75 miles south of East Waterford. The existing metal pipe culv...erts will be replaced with concrete box culverts. The box culverts will be designed with a width of 24 feet to accommodate two 10-foot travel lanes and 2-foot shoulders, and will be fitted with protective guiderail. Minor roadway reconstruction adjacent to the culvert locations is anticipated. A 20.7 mile long detour route will be used during construction. The detour route will utilize PA-75 (Tuscarora Valley Road). The Virtual Plans Display, additional project information, and PennDOT contact information will be available at the PennDOT District 8 website, www.penndot.gov/District8, clicking on Public Meetings listed under the District Links heading, and choosing the Perry County box then the title marked Horse Valley Road over Horse Valley Run.
