Last week we hosted the virtual premiere of STRAY, a documentary following the lives of three dogs living on the streets in Istanbul. For them, and over 150,000 other stray cats and dogs, this is the only life they know. Animal Friends is searching for a dedicated and compassionate animal lover to fill the role of our Therapeutic Programs Coordinator! We’re excited to offer three new single session training options beginning in January that are not only convenient, but affordable too. Confidence Booster - For dogs who are nervous about new objects in their environment. In this session, we will work on building confidence through strengthening the dog-human relationship. We will introduce new objects to your shy dog and teach coping skills so the world is...n’t such a scary place. Share Your Stuff In this session, you will learn ways to teach your dog how to use their mouth appropriately! We will teach you and your dog leave it and drop it through a variety of fun games and activities. Skills Challenge In this game show style session, we’ll focus on sit, stay, leave it and come when called using the popular game show model of increasing challenges while learning along the way! Pier is a quiet kitten who likes to watch the world go by from the comfort of a cozy space. But don’t mistake his reserved personality because he loves to play! Don’t be surprised if after an active play session, he snuggles up next to you for a quick nap.
