Arcadia Exhibitions is pleased to announce the opening of our latest show, Living Rocks: Benton Spruance and the Lithographic Process, now on view in the gallery of the Benton Spruance Art Center. On display are the long time department chair's drawings, proofs, and other ephemera presented alongside finished prints from throughout his prolific career. This includes a restored lithography press given to Beaver College in 1965 and an original Spruance stone with the image of H...avoc in Heaven (1948) still intact. On December 6, 2017 at 6:00PM Shelley Langdale, Associate Curator of Prints and Drawings at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, will be leading a talk on Spruance through the gallery space, followed by a reception with light refreshments. Tours will also be available of some of the Department of Art and Design's newly renovated studios, (some of which Spruance had a hand in designing) as well as our new wood shop and mold making facilities. Coming soon to the Commons Art Gallery and the Great Room Lobby, a survey of the art of former Beaver College professor John Hathaway. The exhibition will open on April 3, 2017. More details forthcoming.

Thank you everyone who came out to hear Jesse Vincent's lecture Emergency Crossover! Her show Other Than A Memory will be on display in the University Commons Art Gallery until January 16, 2017.

The Arcadia University Alumni Spotlight Exhibition featuring 2011 Alum Jesse Vincent will be on display in the University Commons Art Gallery starting September 29, 2016January 16, 2017. Vincent will be discussing her work on September 29th at 4:30pm in the University Commons Great Room with a reception to follow. We hope to see you there!
