I know this is a tuff time for all of us - so here are some hints for you all. Exercise: walk - dance to the oldies (any kind of music)- fill empty milk jug with water and use them if you do not have weight - run your steps - use soup cans for weights. Just stay active. Snacking: watch you do not snack all day - measure it out in a bowl or baggies and do not sit with the original bag - when having a snack make it a specific time of day - Good snacks: fruit - Popcorn - nut...s - fresh veggies with a balsamic vinaigrette to dip it in or hummus - yogurt - string cheese - slim Jim’s - bagel chips and salsa. The worse thing you can do is eat out of boredom or stress if you are standing in your kitchen and you do not know what you want to eat then your bored drink and glass of water turn on some music go for a walk just keep your distance. Tip for the day: Did you know - A helpful diet has 3 basic traits: 1. Adequacy: get a least three minimum number of servings for each food group. 2. Balnce: sample from each, so no single group dominates your diet. 3. Variety: Need to eat diggerent foods within each group and in moderation do not overeat and take in too many calories.
