October 19th I'll be teaching a Portrait and Lighting Workshop in Alexandria, VA. It's going to be an awesome day of hands-on learning so grab yourself a seat or share with someone who wants to learn studio lighting and portraiture!

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to photograph Mercy Medical Center's "Heat It to Beat It" walk. It is a walk to raise awareness and funds for peritoneal carcinomatosis research and education. What an incredibly inspiring group of people to spend a Sunday with! Thank you for having me!

August 26, 2018. Rodeo in Canadian, Texas. Mid day sun and a busy background, so I thought panning the camera would make the shot more interesting. Canon 5D Mark III and 135 f/2. ISO 50, f/32, 1/10th of a second.

In less than two weeks I'm heading back to The Portrait Masters Conference in Arizona. I can't believe it's already been a year since I made the cross country t...rip with Parker J Pfister for last year's conference. That journey was life changing and while the Bisti Badlands were by far my favorite part of the trip, this image of Parker fishing as the sun disappears is one of my favorites. This is in the Black Kettle Grasslands in Oklahoma. We stumbled across a rattlesnake on the beach and that evening found we were sharing our campsite with numerous scorpions that were scampering underfoot. See more
