As the city enters the yellow phase, our office is continuing to do all of our appointments and medication pick ups as curbside drop offs. This is for the safet...y of our clients, our staff, and the community at large. Our exam rooms and lobby are not large enough for proper social distancing. Thank you all for your patience and understanding as we navigate these uncharted waters together! We are continuing to enjoy our one on one time with all of our patients See more

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania recognizes that pets are a significant part of our families and communities; plans should be in place at an individual and community level, during the COVID-19 pandemic. The PA Department of Agriculture has sourced the following guidelines to help pet owners protect both themselves and their pets during the COVID-19 mitigation efforts:

Dear Clients, It has come to our attention that several online pet pharmacies are experiencing delays in the processing and shipping of medications, prescription diets, and supplies. If your pet is on a chronic medication, we recommend that you keep a 30 day supply at home. We also recommend that you order refills at least a week in advance in anticipation of potential delays.Currently, we have not experienced any drug shortages or delays from our distributers. We continue... to keep our shelves stocked and are able to accommodate 48 hour refills for pick up at the hospital. Our online pharmacy is currently operating as usual, with most orders being delivered 4-6 days after prescription approval. Our online pharmacy link can be found on our website homepage (bottom right) or can be accessed via the link below: https://nolibsvet.myvetstoreonline.pharmacy/home.asp We hope all our pet parents and their beloved pets stay safe. Best, NLVC and AMVC

Dear Valued NLVC and AMVC Family, We are reaching out to update you on the temporary operating procedures that we are implementing to safeguard the health of our clients, staff, and the community at large. As a designated essential service, we are committed to continuing to offer veterinary care during our normal operating hours. However, we will be switching all appointments to curbside drop offs starting Wednesday, March 18th. We are taking this approach in order to best... comply with CDC and government recommendations to observed social distancing in effort to slow community spread of COVID 19. How will this work? To make an appointment please call or email us. We will then briefly triage over the phone and schedule either a drop off appointment or a telemedicine consult (via FaceTime or Zoom). Please keep in mind that a telemedicine consult may not be sufficient for diagnosis in many cases and for this reason, a drop-off appointment may be suggested. Please arrive at your scheduled drop off time and call us from the street in front of the office. In the case of a telemedicine appointment, we will call you at the scheduled appointment time. A nurse or receptionist will meet you at the curb to greet your pet to bring him/her inside. We will be wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in the form of gloves, gowns and eye protection. The current opinion is that companion animals cannot be infected with the coronavirus but they can carry it and transmit it to other people much as the handle of a grocery cart might. A doctor will call you at the time of examination to discuss findings and review a treatment plan. Once your pet is ready to go home, a receptionist will call to take secure phone payment and schedule a pick up time to return your pet to you curbside. Please anticipate a drop off of up to several hours, depending on the recommended diagnostics and treatments. We will schedule drop off and pick up times in order to minimize crowding or waiting to best observe social distancing practices. Please reach out by phone or email if we can be of help. We appreciate your understanding during these extraordinary circumstances. Wishing you health and safety, always! In light of the evolving situation with COVID-19, we would like to keep everyone up to date on our current operating procedures as well as additional services that we are offering. As a health care provider, we will continue to stay open during our normally scheduled hours unless state or federal regulations mandate closure. We will contact you if the situation changes. We have already implemented the following protocols: -We have increased efforts to disinfect all of our ...high touch, hightraffic surfaces throughout the day with a hospital grade solution. -We have free standing hand sanitizers in multiple locations for use by guests and employees to protect the safety of the community in and outside our office. -We’re ensuring that our employees have the information they need to stay healthy or the ability to stay at home if they are feeling unwell. -We’ve increased the number of deep cleanings in both of our offices. We understand that even with these measures, many people may not be able to bring their pet in for a standard appointment. In order to accommodate this, we are offering the following options: -Telemedicine consults: You can schedule an appointment for a 30 minutes consult call (audio or preferably video) during our normal operating hours so that a doctor can get a thorough medical history and, in the case of a video call, perform a visual examination of your pet. Although this is not the equivalent of an in-person physical exam, there are some common medical issues that we may be able to diagnose and treat remotely. If the issue appears to require an in person examination, sample collection for diagnostics, or in hospital treatments, we will recommend a curbside drop-off appointment for your pet. Although we always make our best effort to run on time, inevitably sometimes we run behind due to the needs of other sick pets. With this in mind, we ask that you you be available by phone starting at the time of your scheduled appointment, and also up to 15 minutes beyond that time. -Curbside drop-off appointments: We will be offering appointments where you can drop your pet off with a staff member at the entrance to our hospital. We can also arrange a curb-side pick-up for your pet and on-line payment, such that you can completely avoid entering the office. A doctor will assess your pet and call with the findings of their physical exam and any potential recommendations for diagnostics or treatments. These appointments will be available for well and sick pets. We sincerely value and appreciate all of our clients and patients and want to make sure that we can continue to provide outstanding health care for your pets. If you have any further questions or concerns, or would like to inquire about other potential accommodations, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
