On October 10th, Father Jonathan encouraged us to number our days as we discern together how the Lord is calling us into his abundant life. Yesterday, Josh Bennett reminded us that the word is a double-edged sword that convicts and heals us from the "splinters" (wounds, fears, etc.) that keep us from moving forward in the fullness of God. Today is the Feast of St. Luke, Evangelist, Companion of Paul and Physician. Appointed readings include Sirach 38:1-14, Psalm 147:1-11, II Timothy 4:1-13, and Luke 4:14-21. We encourage all Christians to take time today to pray for our physicians and healthcare workers, their good work in the Kingdom, and that they would be filled with all the fullness of God, Our Great Physician.
