Let's Crush This Virus!!! I know African Americans have valid cultural mistrust in our health care system. The Tuskegee Experiment was real but we must do what we can to protect ourselves, our families and our communities. This coronavirus must go. Too much pain, sickness and death in 2020. Up first; health care essential workers, nursing home residents and seniors. Up next; the rest of us. In the meantime, let's continue to follow the protocals to keep us all safe so we can usher in 2021.

I MISS YOU MOM!!! 6 years ago in 2014 on the day after Thanksgiving you left us mom. I knew you were tired and you were leaving so I tried to be strong like you taught me to be. As hard as I tried to be strong, it was still the most difficult and saddest day of my life. You stayed with us on Thanksgiving Day (2014), which was one of your favorite holidays and you got to experience the hugs, kisses & touches of all of your family. Your husband, children, grandchildren and si...blings all got to love on you and we recieved your love in return. I am soooo eternally grateful that I got to spend our last hours together helping you transition as God received you with open arms the same way you ushered me into this world on your wedding anniversary 55 years ago. I always joked that I was the gift that keeps on giving. To hold you during your transition to be with God is a gift that I will forever be thankful for. Not a day goes by when I don't smile at the thought of God blessing me and my sisters with such a Phenomenal mother. You managed our family with dignity, grace and pride. You never complained and I still can't figure out how you made it all come together without a glitch while always looking fabulous. You were amazing and phenomenal all at the same time. I only pray that I made you proud and that I am half the woman you modeled for me. Kim, Kellie & me are taking good care of dad as I promised you we would and your grandchildren are growing up so nicely and creating families of there own now. I know you are smiling down on all of us and you are our Angel watching over us. Know that I love you to the moon, the stars , the sun and back. I can't wait to see you again.
