I know its been pretty quiet at Fox and Frog Organics lately. The orders are keeping us extremely busy. We're shipping nationwide from our online store and Etsy..., keeping our local stores supplied, delivering to Delivered Fresh, and creating new products! It's awesome! We'll be adding adding new soap and hand sanitizer scents (coming soon), and our first Grab and Go! We're so excited to be adding this amazing, muscle healing, arthritis and gout symptom reducing, Tart cherry juice to our line of products! It's almost Halloween so I though I would show this piece I made a couple years ago!!! I call this piece the Manzanita Monster! The center of this casting is a ...book matched section of Manzanita burl wood ( native to the pacific north west ). When I joined the two pieces of wood together I noticed the two holes that looked like eyes and my inspiration for this piece started taking shape. This piece was cast in multiple stages. The holes in the wood were cast with yellow resin for the eyes and the center of the wood section was cast with solid black resin. The moon was cast separately using pearl white colored resin. Finally the wood and the moon pieces were put in a mold and the midnight blue/black background was cast. The second picture of this piece uses back lighting to highlight the eyes and the moon that are transparent. See more
