On June 23, 1972, Title IX was signed into law to stop discrimination against women in education and athletics. Today we celebrate the nearly 50 years of advanc...es for female athletes under this law, and encourage legislators across America to #SaveWomensSports. Women and girls deserve the opportunity to be champions . . . Title IX was designed to protect equal athletic opportunities, but when policymakers pretend biological differences are irrelevant, they distort the law and women and girls bear the consequences. For those interested in what to lawfully do about the shut down of Pennsylvania: The following link is to the PA House Resolution to TERMINATE Gov. Wolf's State of Emergency. The House also has a resolution and I will post that links separately to make sure they don't get messed up. These are the "concurrent resolutions" required by PA law. If you want to end this thing YOU need to get on the horn to your legislators and tell them that you want these resolutions passed ASAP. Stop your complaining - TAKE ACTION!!! MAKE NOISE!!!! https://www.legis.state.pa.us//Legis/PN/Public/btCheck.cfm

This is a bit long but it is an excerpt from Section 7301 of the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Act so it's worth getting familiar with: "The state of disaster emergency shall continue until the Governor finds that the threat or danger has passed or the disaster has been dealt with to the extent that emergency conditions no longer exist and terminates the state of disaster emergency by executive order or proclamation, but no state of disaster emergency may continue for lo...nger than 90 days unless renewed by the Governor. THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY BY CONCURRENT RESOLUTION MAY TERMINATE A STATE OF EMERGENCY AT ANY TIME. Thereupon, the Governor shall issue an executive order or proclamation ending the state of disaster emergency." So my question is this - while I appreciate out state senator and representatives sending a letter to our jackass governor, where is the concurrent resolution from the assembly to end this bs in counties like Wayne and Susquehanna and those others that have fewer issues with this virus and others in the arbitrary "region" the gov and department of health have established??
