Ways to Remove Earwax: Curet: When it comes to removing wax one of my favorite tools to use is a small, curved instrument called a curet. This can be performed by your audiologist or physician. Suction: This will "vacuum" out the earwax. It can be surprisingly loud but removes the wax very quickly! Especially if it is wet, soft wax. This can be performed by your audiologist or physician.... Flushing: Using warm water, or a waterpik, normally used for cleaning teeth. This can be performed by your audiologist or physician, or at home using a kit and included syringe. Never use a Q-Tip or other small object to try and remove the wax yourself.
