Introducing: Abe! He is graceful and attentive, unless there are raisins...then he is all about the raisins. Abe is named after the original founder of Germanto...wn (home of the Philly Goat Project), Abraham op den Graeff. Abraham was among the Quakers who signed the first organized religious protest against slavery in America. He came from a Mennonite family of textile workers and was a renowned weaver! INTRODUCING: Clementine & Violet! We are thrilled to welcome these twin, Nigerian dwarf sisters to our herd. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Clementine (2nd photo) is named a...fter Clementine Cope, one of Awbury Arboretum’s founding family members. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Violet (3rd photo) is named in honor of Violet Oakley, the first American woman to be commissioned for a public mural.
