Yesterday afternoon was spent digging out the tunnel. Thankfully unlike the wet heavy snow we had the week before Christmas this snow was light and fluffy. This means that we did not have to make multiple trips to the tunnel to knock snow off of the roof. Everything slid off beautifully on it own yesterday.... When we do have to clear snow from the roof we wrap a towel or glove around a long pole/stick and tap the roof from the inside causing it to loosen, release & slide off. Yesterday was spent digging out the sides. I have learned from articles and YouTube videos that too much snow buildup can actually cause the sides to buckle in. This is also important when factoring in a second tunnel making sure they are not too close together! Always learning! See more

Happy Thanksgiving from the farm! If I can be completely honest I woke up this morning with a heaviness in my heart. I started typing out all of the things that were causing that heaviness and I paused to think about all of the things that are just completely PERFECT! If this Thanksgiving is different for you know you are not alone.... Just keep your eyes on the blessings and all of the things that ARE right in your life (and if you find yourself still struggling remember I have a tunnel filled with beautiful little baby flowers just waiting to make you smile next spring )!! Happy Monday! Last week I had a nice long post typed out for you and then was plagued with phone issues. Nothing would post! Thankfully this issue seems to have resolved itself. We spent the entire week dividing our dahlia tubers. This is such a mountain of a task for me and to say that it is finished makes me completely ecstatic!... Good morning! I am back from my social media break and happy to say it was probably one of the best things I could have done over the holidays! I have a lot of projects on my to do list but currently for the month of January I am finalizing our bed plans for this season and this week I will start dividing the dahlias.... I used to dread winter and now it flys by so fast! Since I've been a little m.i.a. tell me how are all of YOU doing?

My apologies for "radio silence" over the last week. My family has been battling this darn virus and Koy started showing symptoms today. I just wanted to pop on and say I am still here. Any gift certificates requested for Christmas gifts will be mailed out after we have all recovered and I know I am not infecting anyone from anything that I touch! What A Weekend! We took advantage of the beautiful weather this weekend and put the plastic on our high tunnel! This will give us season extension on both ends (spring and fall) by protecting our flowers from the elements and allowing them to bloom earlier and later in the year.... We are seriously blessed with wonderful family members who took time from their Sunday to help us! Also this weekend our bouquet subscriptions went on sale and you guys are absolutely amazing!
