The Backyard Ale House carries over 450 craft, micro, and import beers, the largest selection of beer in downtown Scranton, along with skillfully crafted cockta...ils with fresh garnishes and the finest spirits. Two full bars with 28 rotating drafts serve handcrafted American pub fare like gourmet burgers and sandwiches with an emphasis on locally sourced and fresh ingredients. Hosting live music, special events, and most recently a free Christmas breakfast with donated clothes, toys, and non-perishable food items for families struggling during the holiday season, the locally owned and operated Ale House features a large outdoor patio that is heated in the winter run by a friendly staff filled with personality and creativity. Additionally, the restaurant offers Backyard Ale House Catering, and the former bottleshop inside is now the Backyard Art House, a small game room where local artists are featured each month for First Friday Scranton. Under current state regulations, Backyard Ale House is offering takeout and delivery. Today we learned that one of our employees, who worked last night (Wednesday, November 12, 2020), was subject to exposure level contact with someone who tested positive for COVID. The exposure contact did not occur while at the Backyard Ale House.
