Information is always a good thing. NO matter what anybodies decision is you should always be informed.
Very interesting, I hope it pans out. https://www.mdlinx.com//vitamin-d-/3xOE0DCBzScORYoH4C6WhJ
Certainly something to think about.
This is a post by a Chiropractic friend who practices in the Atlanta area- we attended Palmer Chiropractic school together, on his page- I cannot seem to figure out how to "share" it. So I copied and pasted. Dr. John Giovanelli Here’s an interesting case in my office Monday. A 35 year old woman who I last saw 6 years ago presented with headaches in the left upper neck/back of skull and left arm numbness. She entered my office wearing a neck brace. She previously went t...o a local orthopedic spine surgeon who ordered neck mri and x-rays. All negative. He ordered physical therapy and told her not to go to a chiropractor. All along, the patient has been passing out when turning head to the left. She also gets intermittent periods of 1-2 minutes of blind spots. She also has intermittent balance issues. Eventually her symptoms worsened and she had left leg weakness and some inability to speak so she went to ER. They did a CTA (brain scan) which was negative. They should have performed the test with left head rotation which likely would show a blocked vertebral artery - they did not. They also told her not to go to a chiropractor. Her response was you don’t know my chiropractor (thank you patient). They suggested a neurologist and got her an appointment in two months. It was at that point the patient got sick of being undiagnosed so she called me despite two doctors telling her not to see a chiropractor. I knew within 5 minutes of LISTENING to her that she has a very rare condition called Bow Hunters Syndrome aka Vertibro-basilar insufficiency. Left untreated long enough, a stoke will happen. We did additional neck bending x-rays (something her prior doctors should have done). I contacted a vascular neurosurgeon I know at Emory who will do the proper testing like a CT scan, 3T brain MRI and dynamic angiogram of the vertebral arteries. She likely has a small bone spur compressing the ligament that isn’t visible on plain x-rays. I also contacted a neurosurgeon friend at Piedmont to have him on standby pending the results of the testing at Emory. I also told her to cancel her upcoming physical therapy evaluation. The last thing she needs to to have her neck moved around excessively. Too bad her real doctors could not diagnose this young mom was about to have a major and possibly fatal stroke from vertebral artery compression. A good chiropractor should be your primary doctor for pain. See more
This is a well written post by another Chiropractor that has the same type of experiences as I do with patients auto policy coverage ( or lack there of).
