12/23/20 At 11:49 pm, Engine 51-2 was dispatched for a dwelling fire, as well as Quarryville and other mutual aid, assisting Strasburg FC Station 5. Chief 5 arrived to find a 2 1/2 story farmhouse with fire showing from the 2nd floor and attic. Chief 5 then upgraded to a 2nd alarm which added Engine 51-1 and Tanker 51. Engine 51-2 arrived and laid 1000ft of supply line and placed multiple hand lines in service and also supplied Truck 5 with water. Tanker 51 supplied water and... Engine 51-1 sent their manpower into the scene. 51 units worked on scene for about 2 hours before being released. Crews then had to clean up all hose and equipment. This was done just in time for many of our members to head to work. Our prayers are with the families affected by this fire so close to Christmas.
