Team Member Tuesday Todays team member is Cailee! You may be wondering who is behind the screen when it comes to our social media presence. Well, wonder no more! Hi everybody it’s me Cailee! I am the Team and Marketing Developer here at Bates Landscaping!! I joined the company back in August of 2020 and have loved every day of it! I handle all of our social media, hiring, team satisfaction and much more.... From Joke of the Day to Team Member Tuesday I am always trying to find new ways to grab your attention and make Bates Landscaping a company people want to work WITH and FOR. Although most times you may here from me or see me is in a work setting, I do enjoy some time off. In my free time I love doing anything and everything outdoors. Camping, hiking, running, or just enjoying some fresh air is where you can find me outside of work. I also enjoy cooking and spending time with all my nieces and nephews. Team Member Tuesday Everybody meet Daniel!! Daniel has been working with Bates Landscaping since summer 2020 and has been a wonderful addition to our team! ... Daniel works as a Crew Member here at Bates, but is skilled is many other areas as well! Including some construction! Daniel is in the midst of helping to renovate our office and is doing a great job! When Daniel is not working he enjoys watching TV and listening to music! Thanks for all the hard work Daniel! Our highlighted team member this week is our shop mechanic Angel!! Angel is our very own Mr. Fixit!! He can fix just about anything and everything!! ... Angel has only been with Bates Landscaping for 3 years but in those 3 years he has made such a positive impact on our team! When Angel isn’t fixing or tinkering in the shop, he enjoys being able to spend quality time with his family! Hey everybody!! Sharing a bit of a different post with you all today. One of our beloved customers had the amazing opportunity of becoming head chef at a new restaurant in Swarthmore PA! Village Vine is a new wine bar and bistro located in the Swarthmore Borough, a formerly dry borough of 125 years!... We can’t wait to get over there for a great outdoor meal soon and hope to see you all there too! "Wait? What? I didn't know Bates Landscaping did bamboo removal too!!!" Yes! Yes we do! This is a bamboo remediation project we completed for a young family in Exton, PA. Their backyard was overgrowing with bamboo and not suitable for their young children to play and run free.... It was such a fun project for us to work on and we are pleased we got to be apart of this backyard transformation! Seems like the boys are loving it already! Take a look at this project!! Bates was tasked with the rebuilding of a natural stone wall surrounding a flagstone patio. We added drainage points to the wall to assist the water in existing properly rather than pooling up on the patio. While rebuilding the wall we also rebuilt the patio itself and fixed the underlying base of the patio to make it more secure. ... Once we were finished the patio & wall, we regraded the lawn to direct the water away from the property & into the wooded area. We then installed sod throughout and wow did it come in nicely!! The river-stone you see is there to prevent any wash out on the hillside from the existing water pipe. Our team did an amazing job and we couldn’t be prouder!!! #bateslandscaping #morethanalandscaper

This picture is from a current project we are working on! Bates Landscaping is creating a new wildlife habitat covering about 3,500 sqft and consists of installing approximately 400 native plants!! ALERT As some of you may know our not so welcomed bug guests have begun to lay their eggs...we MUST do our part in making sure those eggs never hatch!!! If you are to see an egg mass on a tree, car, playground set etc the best thing to do is scrap the mass off of the surface and into a container of alcohol or hand sanitizer (we all should have plenty of that!).
