H A P P Y 2 0 2 1 Time for a story, some reflection, and gratitude Hi!! I’m Owner, Brittany DeCheine! I had been a full time hair + makeup artist for 11 years prior to opening BB DeCheine Salon (on February 1, 2020 ) After a short 6 weeks of settling our team & clients into our new home, we closed on March 14th! We would remain unable to operate for almost FOUR months of Covid shut down! ... I was scared. I felt an unbelievable sense of responsibility to keep this team of amazing, loyal and talented people afloat. I knew I owed it to us to have a workplace to return to. But as a new business owner ... WUTTT just happened?? I spent some time wallowing in negativity, fear and self doubt. I didn’t go back to the salon for weeks. I didn’t want to face what I feared deeply I may lose. In true Brittany-fashion I woke up with intuition one morning, drove to the salon in my pjs and just stood inside for a while reading all of the Congratulations cards filling our space. I remembered the love and support we had received. It overwhelmed me to a sobbing mess. I walked around the salon, envisioning all the dreams I had for the space. I started taking notes and measurements. It was dark out by the time I left. With the help of my closest loved ones over quarantine, we.. Built an 8ft flower wall that covers the ceiling of our women’s salon floor ( The babe cave) Hand painted 12 logos on our rose colored photo wall @crdanner Designed and painted two geometric walls Built our magical green tranquility room Commissioned 3 local artists to paint 2 murals inside our salon @jklement27 @atruel.o.v.estory.llc Designed and built a 4 ft oak flower planter for the entry of the salon. Stocked it with fresh flowers. Met Mallory and designed all of our signage together! Learned to build a website Met @coribostick who helped @kylie_brauchle & I design our marketing jazz Made a team tiktok video And finally.. We Made It! We reopened June 30th, 2020 w/ every single team member we started with. We have since gained 4 new gals 2020 was ROUGH but it made me a stronger person, leader and problem solver. I’m so grateful for this team!

Our 3,000 sqft salon has allowed us to maintain proper social distancing to ensure everyone’s safety.... Here is what we continue to practice on a daily basis to help keep our clients and staff safe: call when you arrive so there’s no heavy traffic in the waiting area temperature check at the door masks required for the entire stay of your visit wash hands immediately after your temperature check door handles and sink area are sanitized after each person stations, tools, shampoo bowls, towels and capes are sanitized thoroughly after each client all employees wear a mask their entire shift, when they arrive, they take their temperature and wash their hands immediately employees are limited to one person on break at a time check out is touch-free (unless using cash) entire salon is swept, dusted, sanitized and mopped thoroughly throughout the day all products for purchase are only touched by staff and sanitized if put back onto the shelf We really appreciate everyone’s help and support in allowing us to stay on our feet and keep our doors open!
