BBEC, a Division of HB Global, is looking to hire a CAD Technician. The CAD Technician will work directly with the Lead Electrical Designer and Project Managers on electrical construction design/build projects. The position will perform duties associated with Building Information Modeling (BIM), BIM trade coordination, document management functions, and related tasks described below and as required by the company. Key Accountabilities:... CAD Coordination Process from inception to close out Site Positioning data in CAD and coordination with field drawings Drafting for Manufacturing and Health Care Facilities Support coordination of design documents As built and other project closeouts Essential Functions/Duties: Perform Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) work as directed by the Lead Designer. Perform Building Information Modeling (BIM) as required to support Electrical Services projects. Perform electrical building layout and coordination without assistance from others. Assist with development and maintenance of CAD & BIM standards. Overlay, Create, Coordinate, and Modify Three-dimensional Building Informational Models (BIM) as required by Electrical Contracts. Assist Lead Designer with BIM coordination and constructability efforts. Prepare drawings/files suitable for estimating, permit, construction and/or competitive bidding. Assist with document management electronic file organization, plotting, printing, filing, etc. Perform basic electrical drafting functions under the supervision of the Lead Designer. Assist field personnel with drawing interpretation and development of record drawings. Assist with conducting field surveys, observe existing conditions, and gather information. Core Competencies: Creative and enjoys working with minimal supervision. Proficient in the use of AutoCAD. Revit and NavisWorks a plus. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, & Bluebeam. Independent worker able to prioritize and multi-task duties. Customer-oriented, team player, who excels in a supportive role. Ability to research and interpret National Electrical Code and ADA. Knowledge of constructability. Represent BBEC, Inc. in a professional manner. Education, Skills, Experience: Requirements: Valid Driver’s License. Word and Excel experience helpful Electrical knowledge beneficial
