First snow of the season

A perfect afternoon for relaxing in the hammock.

After over a month of rain it is wonderful to finally have some clear sunny days and starry nights.

It's a cool, rainy day, a good day for my first wood stove fire of the season.

We are high and dry, unaffected by the flood, but Highland Lake Rd is closed from 220 so the best way to get here is to take Rabbittown Rd from Rt 220 near Pennsdale. Rabbitown Rd becomes Dutchtown Rd at the 4 way intersection with 864. Go straight on Dutchtown Rd which turns into Genesee Trail and becomes a gravel road. Take Genesee Trail up the mountain directly to my driveway.

Summer thunder storm, it's a good evening for sitting on the porch and watching the light show.
