Who’s ready for a new week of the market? Hope to see everyone from 4-7! We’re at the AHN Suburban Lot A (corner of Monroe and Jackson) What are you looking forward to picking up today to make a special [almost] autumn meal?
Good morning neighbors, Can you believe that we are already halfway through the season? Despite the ongoing pandemic that has affected all of us, including many of our vendors, we are continuing to bring local, fresh produce and hand made goods to our community in addition to continuing our mission to help fight food insecurity by tripling all SNAP, WIC, P-EBT, and Sr FMNP benefits. Our current plan is to continue to operate until the end of October (October 28) so we hope to... continue to see everyone come out and shop! The Farmers Market Committee worked (and continues to work) diligently to create a safe market for all customers, vendors, and volunteers. Part of that decision was not to allow any prepared food vendors at our market due to the increased risk of contracting and spreading COVID-19, and due to the smaller space for our market this year. Anyone selling prepared food near the Bellevue Farmers Market is not associated with the market in any way and the Bellevue Farmers market is not responsible for any products being sold. We continue to encourage shoppers to support local restaurants in the North Boroughs on market days. Finally, we have been fortunate to have great weather on market days. While these sunny days are rare in Pittsburgh, the forecast for the next few weeks continues to be sunny. We know that fall is just around the corner and that there may be days that are rainy, windy, cold, and potentially snowing. We also know that some of our popular vendors have long lines. If you feel that standing in a long line during certain weather conditions will be a challenge for you, we encourage you to skip the market that week or have someone else shop for you. While we enjoy seeing all of you each week, everyone's safety and health have to be our number one concern. Thank you all again for your continued support and we hope to see you at the market!
Need to register to vote? Stop by the market and get signed up! YOUR VOTE MATTERS!
Welcome to September! Join us from 4-7 today, rain or shine at the Monroe Ave lot of AHN Suburban!
