We would like to add some geese to our flock. We have Canadians that migrate in the spring and leave in the fall. Of course we have ducks and geese that stay all year long, but that flock is dwindling down. If you know of anyone near by that breeds geese we would be interested in purchasing some. Any age or size is acceptable. Or if you know if where we can buy any we would greatly appreciate it. We will also take rescue ducks and geese as long as they don't require special care. They will be fed daily, but we're unable to provide any type of special care for them. We understand that mail order is available, but would rather not go that route. Thank You.
Tomorrow morning 10/10:30am stocking rainbow trout! Come check it out!
Bell's Lakes has been open and continously operating since 1951! It is privately owned, operated and regulated. This is not only a business, but it is the home of several families. With that being said, we feel that $5 per person for fishing and camping included is more than a fair deal. It would be greatly appreciated if all visitors would respect our home as you would want someone to respect yours. We welcome families here for fishing and camping while putting into effect o...nly a few restrictions. Please be aware and respectful of your noise levels at all times, especially after 10pm, to be respectful of residents and other campers and fisherman. No foul language or curse words. We pride ourself in being a "family friendly" facility. There are usually always young children here and you would be surprised how voices and noise carries across water. No littering! We do not have paid employees to clean up after disrespectful people. There are several trash barrels around the lake for trash, cans and bottles. Especially with bottles, please be aware of where you dispose of glass bottles, chances are it's going to get broken, and as previously stated there are children around at all times. Do not leave fishing line in grass or laying on ground. We have ducks and geese, and they will get tangled up in it. Not to mention other animals including family dogs and children. Especially if there is a fishing hook still attached. Do not pull vehicles in wet grass or muddy areas. There are several swampy areas around lakes, and you WILL get stuck! No swimming, boats or entering water! You will be asked to leave--no exceptions! Last but not least---just please be respectful of our property and home! Bring your own firewood, DO NOT USE BOARDS FROM PAVILIONS AND OUTHOUSES!
Fun fishing fact/tip #1: Mix some moist cat/dog food with flour and water for an easy, inexpensive, yet very effective trout bait.
Monday, April 3rd around 10-10:30am we will be stocking trout. We will be putting a video up afterwards, but come see in person what it's all about!
