Bending Bridge Farm is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to assist with our weekly farmers market on Sundays in Bethesda MD from June through November. Members of our team are dedicated, self-motivated, and organized. Applicants should possess a strong work-ethic, a sense of urgency, an attention to detail, and good communication skills. Market Assistants will work outdoors in all weather conditions and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Sales and/or produce expe...rience preferred but not required. Farmers market assistants arrive at the market site at 7:30 am on Sunday mornings to meet the farm truck and assist with unloading of produce and supplies. Assistants help to craft an attractive and functional market display that highlights the seasonal bounty and is organized for shoppers' convenience. Throughout the market, the market assistant will cashier and/or re-stock produce as needed with a team of 2-3 other people. The market day ends around 2pm once all produce and supplies are re-packed and loaded into the truck. In addition to hourly pay, produce is available as compensation.
