The Bible is very specific about somethings. Other times they are hard to understand. Peter even said this about some of Paul's writings. But before you try and interpret scripture make sure you take the literal meaning to heart, comparing scripture with scripture, using the easy verses to help you understand the harder ones.

What we believe about salvation. 1. Until you get this right nothing else in the bible matters. 2. God is love, but he is also righteous and holy and will not allow sin to dwell with him. Psalms 5:4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.... 3. Our problem is that we all are sinner, Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 4. God requires sin to be paid for and he requires death not good works. Rom 6:23 (a) For the wages of sin is death; Gal_2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. 5. But here is where his love is displayed. Rom 6:23 (b) but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. That’s right despite our sin God will give us eternal life as a gift. 6. However, to obtain it we must believe Jesus died on the cross was buried and rose again, not just know the story but truly believe he did that for you. 1Co_15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1Co_15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Remember salvation is a gift not a pay check!

We have decided to change our service hours. We will continue our morning service start times. Sunday School-10 to 11am Morning Service 11-12pm We will now have a fellowship meal from 12-1pm and an afternoon service from 1-2pm... Our Wednesday service time will continue to be at 7pm See more

We have heard that many are growing tired if the entertainment gospel and just want to know God. This is what we strive to do for all who walk through our door. See more

We would like to welcome you to our page. Berean Baptist is an Independent Baptist Church where the bible is an open book and in which Christ is our leader. We Love the Lord and we love his book. We believe that he has been more than able to preserve his word through time and translation and that The King James Bible is his preserved word for the English speaking people of the world. We sing the old hymns of the faith. Join us at 1190 Stanley Rd in the historic mining town of Helvetia PA. Sunday School starts at 10 AM. Our morning Service starts at 11AM. Our evening Service Starts at 7 PM. Our Wednesday service starts at 7 PM.

We are several months out from hosting the tri-state pastor fellowship. Pray we can get everything in place .
