As you plan for the holidays, we wanted to take a moment and bring a few things to your attention before you head out to the farm in a few short weeks... - In a effort to eliminate suprise we want you to be aware that our tree inventory is a little lower then usual. Sometimes this happens, it's perfectly normal and our inventory will increase in a few years time. But as you know, Christmas trees take 8-12 years to reach the average sellable size. There are many factors t...hat have contributed to the lack of extra inventory at this time but please know, REGARDLESS there are still plenty of trees to choose from! - Back in late May, you may recall, we had an unusually hard frost. This had an effect on many farmers and their crops, including some of our Christmas trees; specifically the Douglas Fir variety (see pics). The frost damaged and ultimately killed the tender new growth. So you will find SOME (not all!) trees to have dead/ dried tips on some of the branches. There is nothing inherently wrong with these trees and after next spring you won't be any the wiser to the previous year's damage. But for now consider this as you choose your 'perfect' tree. - We would like to ask everyone to come prepared with a mask and wear it if you are unable to socially distance as well as upon check out. Please use good judgment when entering the barn. If there are too many people to properly distance then please wait patiently on the outside. - We will not be offering hot chocolate this year BUT we will have our variety of jams, jellies, and preserves for you to purchase and take home to enjoy! - Our hours of operation have changed. We will be open the Friday after Thanksgiving 9a-5p and every Saturday and Sunday up until Christmas 9a-5p. Looking forward to seeing you all! Until then and always, stay safe, happy and healthy . Sincerely, Lou, Jonathan, and Amy Bernard
