ON TUESDAY, FEB. 2, 2021: All of BeST Transit’s general public fixed routes in Bradford, Sullivan & Tioga counties will operate on a two-hour delay on TUESDAY, Feb. 2, 2021.

Jan. 20, 2021 (9:39 a.m.): Due to an accident on Route 220 in the Milan area, BeST Transit is anticipating delays in some of its service.

BeST Transit is now hiring a casual bus washer/office cleaner for its Greens Landing location. All applicants must possess a valid driver's license and have an excellent driving record. All positions are subject to criminal background check, current child abuse clearance and to all applicable Federal Regulations governing workplace anti-drug and alcohol programs in the transit industry as specified by the Federal Transit Administration of the US Department of Transportation and CFR P655 and 49 CFR Part 50 and the Drug-Free Workplace Act 0f 1988. This shall include analytical urine drug testing, a breath testing for alcohol for: Reasonable suspicion, random, post accident, return to duty and follow-up during the course of employment. All other fixed routes will operate on a two-hour delay from the route’s original start time. All non-medical door-to-door shared rides have been canceled for Friday and limited to medical only.

4:16 am, Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020: Due to the storm and road conditions, all BeST Transit fixed-route service and shared-ride service has been suspended for today.

General Public Fixed Route service for Route 25, (Wysox/Wyalusing) & Route 45, (Mansfield/Wellsboro/Westfield) have been suspended for the remainder of Wednesday afternoon. Effective immediately, BeST Transit is pleased to announce changes to general public fixed routes No. 20 (Sayre/Towanda/Troy/Canton) and No. 25 (Towanda/Wysox/Wyalusing). Route 20 now features a mid-morning loop back and forth and Route 25 includes more stops in the morning and afternoon. General public fixed routes are available to the general public. 12:30 p.m., Aug. 11, 2020: Effective immediately for the remainder of today, Route 10A and 10A2 are on a temporary detour due to construction at the intersection of Main St and Walnut St in Athens. After leaving Page Manor, Route 10 will turn left on Pine St travel down Pine St to River St. They will turn right on River street, left on Walnut and right on Satterlee St (by Penn York Opportunities) then return to Main St., Athens.

An American flag is raised in front of the Bradford County Courthouse Thursday morning in honor of Bradford County Commissioner Ed Bustin who passed away over the weekend. Members of the Wysox and Towanda fire departments participated in the honor. The flag remained in place during the commissioner's meeting. Mr. Bustin was also a BeST Transit board member.

BeST Transit would like to offer its deepest condolences to the family of Bradford County Commissioner Ed Bustin. A valued BeST Transit board member since 2015, Commissioner Bustin was a strong advocate for public transit and was actively working to better transportation services in the BeST Transit service area . His many contributions as a county leader will be missed.
