We are looking forward to taking a few moments to recognize all of our Children's Ministry leaders, volunteers, helpers, teachers tomorrow morning as we kick off the service! We are thankful for the eternal impact that you have on our babies and kids!

We look forward to Worship and the Word tomorrow morning at 9:45 AM! This week Pastor Rick will take us through many scriptures on how the Lord overcame death and hell, temptation, the treachery of godless religion, and anguish - just to name a few. Because the Lord overcame all of these things we are more than conquerors THROUGH HIM and we ARE OVERCOMERS! John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

Today is Friday, March 19 and Pastor Rick will continue his devotional series on gifts that God has given to us. He has shared on the gift of life, the gift of love, the gift of the freedom of choice, the gift of grace, and the gift of forgiveness and reconciliation. Today Pastor Rick will share about the Gift of Friendship and will share the following scriptures: James 2:23 And... the Scripture was fulfilled which says, Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. And he was called the friend of God. Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. Proverbs 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. A friend loves at all times and friendships are based upon something much deeper than circumstances. There is a kindred spirit. A friendship is a commitment. The character of Christ makes us better friends. Others will flatter and manipulate but a true friend will not. A friend will encourage and speak truth in love. God has given us this rich blessing of friendship. Will you commit today and the days ahead to be a good and a Godly friend to others? God bless you!

Once again, we look at the parable of the Good Samaritan and we see the kindness shown by one man to another where mercy triumphed over judgement. ... Today Pastor Rick encourages us to change the headlines one household, one neighborhood, one community at a time. The Good News is greater than any evil. Christmas for us is an exclusive celebration of Jesus Christ. Our neighbors are the people who are not like us. They have different cultural experiences and come from many walks of life. Our neighbors are anyone who we encounter each day. As you begin your day today and go throughout your week, consider the people who the Lord puts in yo...ur path they are your neighbors. Consider the parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10. How will you minister the love of Christ to those you encounter this week, and in the weeks and years to come?
