Somedays all you can do is just breathe One year ago today, my world changed....just like so many other's did! I spent the day talking and texting with clients. Keeping a stiff upper lip and smiling. I was calm & collected. I went about my day to day activities teaching lessons & caring for horses.... The barn was busy. People were all about. There was no time to feel. Then at the end of the day, after everyone had left & everything was done, I drove out of the front gates of my farm. I stopped my car, got out, closed & secured the gate just like I did every night for I don't know how many years. But this night I put up a closed sign. "Closed, Flatten the Curve" I got back in my car and sat there and cried. I just lost it. I had kept it in all day. Now, with the sign up and no one around, I just lost it. How the hell was I going to do this How the hell was I going to feed and care for all these horses with NO income. What if my boarders couldn't pay me. I can't not feed their horses. I can't throw them out. How the hell was I going to make this work. I sat there & cried. I knew we had to do it. I got that part. All my years in health care as a nurse and nurse practitioner told me this was necessary. But holy shit. Then I took some deep breaths I dried my face I fixed my crown "You can do this" "You can do anything" "You have NEVER failed at anything" I practiced my gratitude morning and evening. I meditated. I exercised. I ate healthy. And I had my fair share of Rum. I leaned on my friends & my family. My barn family was amazing! What a wonderful group of people I am surrounded by! I am so lucky to have them as a part of Biamonte Stables and Lorri Biamonte. I got up every freakin day and kept putting one foot in front of the other, not really sure HOW but knowing that I WOULD figure it all out. This has been quite a year. I am still standing I am stronger than ever My business model was tested and proven I have survived this so far. Fingers crossed we can carry on Never Stop Never Quit Just Figure It The Out! Can't wait to get vaccinated In the mean time, I keep wearing my mask and keep figuring it out Stay Strong

Be patient, these things take time. No it won't always be easy No it won't always be fun But it will be worth it... Set reasonable, SMART goals Develop a plan of action Implement the plan Stay consistent Don't be shy about asking for help with the whole process. Most things are a marathon not a sprint

I start my day by stopping I wake up, get my coffee, light a couple candles then find a comfortable spot to sit and be still. It's so quiet first thing in the morning. No one wants anything from me. No one is calling me or asking me anything. ... I start my day by stopping And doing about 15 minutes of guided meditation. It prepares me to be the best I can be for that day so I can go out and take care of my clients, their horses and my responsibilities in the best way possible.
