This cold, snowy February day has us missing hiking back & forth to the Outpost for wonderful herbal classes!
Herbie chat for the New Year from The Essential Herbal Magazine! Here’s to a happy, healthy 2021!
However you chose to celebrate, we wish you a bright, healthy winter! The light is slowly returning, blessings to all!
On this Thanksgiving day, we’re grateful for the passing down of wisdom. Enter...cornbread! Cornbread was a staple food in the diet of native peoples. Some added nuts, berries, beans, honey or maple syrup. Although we’re in Lenape territory here, one of our organizers (Chris) grew up surrounded by the Oneidas & so we chose to share their recipe. I’ve made this cornbread using ground (unpopped) popcorn kernels. Wishing everyone a beautiful day today full of gratitude! https://www.oneidaindiannation.com/the-art-of-cornbread/
Well...we did start the fire circle! However, Mother Nature decided to bring us showers. No worries, our small group was able to safely physical distance in the dining hall. :) So much gratitude to Clinical Herbalist Cheryl Karcher for teaching 2 wonderful classes! Medicine of White Pine & Formulating Medicinal Oxymels. Thanks so much to those who were able to join us!
Friends, don’t forget to email us to register for this free event. See you at the fire circle! [email protected]
The long, hot summer has given way to a beautiful harvest season, & we are grateful. Stay tuned for a special Autumn surprise!
