Highland Middle School 5th grade students experienced camp virtually last week! The week began with treat bags being delivered to each student’s house by their dedicated and enthusiastic homeroom teachers. Lessons were posted each day by camp teachers with activities to try and materials to use from the delivered treat bags. The bags even included a chocolate covered s'more that the campers enjoyed around a virtual camp fire. The 5th graders also participated in a virtual counselor hunt put together by their amazing senior camp counselors. Sing-alongs were also led by camp teachers and high school counselors. The camp teachers and counselors hope the students enjoyed virtual camp as much as they did! Sounds like a lot of fun! Thank you teachers and all who made this possible! We hope you had fun, 5th grade!

Mrs. Haight's 2nd Grade class created and delivered May Day baskets to neighbors and relatives to help spread springtime cheer. They thought this would be a great time to give back and bring joy to others. They talked about the May Day holiday and their ideas through their weekly Zoom meeting. I bet this activity brought countless smiles to many people, Mrs. Haight and class!
