We’ve weaned six litters this week. Issued CVIs for piglets to travel to Ohio, New Jersey, Maine, Massachusetts, Texas, Indiana, and New York. And Maryland in preparation for our visit to Green Hill Farm on November 7th for FarmFest2020 -Sharpsburg Swap Our list today looks something like this: -Deep clean stalls... -Rotate boars -Move sows (to farrow/to breed back) -set first run of fence posts -feed run to Ernst Grain & Livestock -stock feeders -ferment -move and bed Port-A-Hut in front pasture -pictures of piglets for buyers -start cleaning hoop house -gather eggs We’ve got a three day front of rain to beat! And two sows to get tucked in to farrow.... And in case you missed it....BVF Tapeka Modesty and BVF Rona Desdemona have brand new litters on the ground!! It’s been entirely too long since we’ve had our swap fix and we’re counting down the days until we see all the familiar faces and share all things local and lovely! Both sows farrowed entirely wattled piglets and predominantly female litters.
