We would like to know if anyone is interested in "adopting" the residents and staff at Manor Care (Laureldale). Since the guests are not allowed any visitors, we thought we, as a community, could make cards, pictures, write letters, etc for them to brighten their day. Auntie Peachies at 1518 Elizabeth Ave has volunteered to be the drop off point for any correspondence we would do. I will collect and drop off to the contact person at Manor Care. If you're looking for something to do or for your kids this would be a great project and would definitely brighten the day of so many that are currently isolated. Don't forget the staff - maybe some cookies, candy or snacks for them as well. Anyone interested please let me know if you have any questions and I hope to have a HUGE box to drop off!
