7/30 (evening) Once again, due to the unusually large crowd of pickers, we finished the entire 3rd picking today (7/30)! So we are now closed to allow the remaining berries to ripen. If enough berries ripen, we mayreopen for one final picking. I will post an update, as soon as I know if, and when we are able to do a 4th and final picking. I may not know for another week or so. Thanks to everyone for their patience this year. It’s been a wild, unpredictable harvest so far!... Rick
7/30 We are opening for the 3rd picking today, Thursday, July 30th. Price is $4.25/lb. for PYO. Cash or checks only. Hours will stay the same 8 am-1 pm Mon-Sat. FYI--After today, there are a lot of "showers" in the forecast!... This year, due to the weather and large crowds, I’m not sure how many days this 3rd picking will last. Keep an eye out for my "picking status updates". Due to many factors, the 2020 Harvest has been so unpredictable, and shorter than normal. If you still need berries, sooner, as opposed to later, is key this year. We will allow picking in light showers, but close the patch for heavy rain or thunderstorms. Also this year. We will do our best to maintain social distancing in the patch. Finally, we will not be taking any more orders for ready picked berries, the remainder of this year’s harvest. There will be berries for sale in the shed, on a 1st come, 1st serve basis. Thank you, and hope to see you in the patch, soon!
7/27 Hello Pickers, We are going to reopen for the 3rd picking on Thursday, July 30th. Price is $4.25/lb. for PYO. Cash or checks only. Hours will stay the same 8 am-1 pm Mon-Sat. This year, due to the weather and large crowds, I’m not sure how many days this 3rd picking will last, or if there will be any ripe berries left to pick on Saturday, August 1st. How did you fill your bucket today? Mom and I did by supporting our favorite local farmer! It’s been a hard year for my favorite fruit, but Farmer Rick is ...doing such a great job at keeping his business going during these times! Third round of picking will start soon- yes they are going fast this year- so get there when they open back up. You won’t be disappointed! See more
7/20 We are still picking. Come early to beat the heat! Hours are 8 am-1 pm Mon-Sat. Remember to stay hydrated! Currently, we are on the 2nd picking. Depending on crowd size, and how long it takes us to finish it, we may have to close down again sometime this week, to allow the 3rd picking to ripen.
YES, we have reopened today (7/18) for picking! Most bushes still "loaded" quick, easy picking. Come early to beat the heat! Great time to pick fresh for eating, or to restock the freezer. Hours are 8 am-1 pm Mon-Sat. We will do our best to maintain social distancing. Price is $4.25/lb. for PYO. Cash or checks only! Hope to see you in the patch!
