#WearingOfMasks: Here's the deal. None of us like wearing masks. Obviously, this is nobody's first choice. Having said that, when we made the decision to delay our opening this year, it was due to our concern for the safety, health and well-being of our 35 staff members (and their families), as well as you, our customer (and your families). We are happy to have made a number of changes to our process, procedures and overall operations that have allowed us to open for the 20...20 season. Likewise, we are pleased to see so many long-time customers and new customers show their support once we felt confident about the precautions we were putting in place. One of the most notable changes is the requirement to wear a mask. We cannot be any more straight-forward or upfront about this... To be served at Boehringer's Drive-In, you must be wearing a mask when entering to place / pay for your order. That is mandatory! While you are outside waiting, we highly recommend wearing a mask, but it is not required. Thank you for your understanding of this matter and your continued support during this crazy year.

It's about time! Am I right? First they went with the BBQ sandwich. Then the French Fries. Always gotta have fries - what's up with that? Then the BIG Cheese. (ok, that one I get.) We want to start off by saying thank you so much for your patience and understanding the last few months. We did a lot of planning and reconstruction of our building so we could finally be open for the season, offering a full menu. This Saturday, May 23rd we will open our doors! This year will look a little different but we plan to serve you while staying safe and social distancing. With that being said, a mask is required and we ask that only 1 person per order wait in line.... There will be a window (Ephrata side) of Boehringer’s for ICE CREAM ONLY and a window (Reading side) for FOOD ONLY. Once you order and pay, you will get a number and proceed outside to our waiting area, where a runner will bring you your food. There will be signs/instructions and people to help you at all times. Please bring your patience, as we adapt to our new system. Can’t wait for other season with you. Thank you!
