The Bollinger campus of the Barber National Institute Community Participation Supports (CPS) reopened on today, Nov. 12, for staff and adults attending the program. The facility temporarily closed 14 days ago per protocol after a person associated with the site experienced a symptom and subsequently tested positive for COVID19. Before reopening, the safety protocols were reviewed and approved by the Warren County Department of Human Services per the Pennsylvania Office of... Developmental Programs Re-Opening Tool. The facility underwent a complete cleaning and disinfecting, including the use of a fogger to eliminate any possible airborne particles. Other safeguards will continue to be followed, including mandatory face coverings for all staff and adults, temperatures taken on arrival each day, frequent cleaning and disinfecting throughout the day, and social distancing whenever possible. Plexiglass dividers had already been installed where needed in the facility to provide physical barriers and facilitate greater social distancing. Upon reopening, all program staff and consumers will complete training that includes recognizing signs and symptoms, steps for preventing infection spread, and new cleaning procedures. The program is also reminding anyone who may be experiencing symptoms of illness to stay home for their own safety and the safety of others.
Happy Veteran’s Day - Thank you to all those who served.
