The Ordinances of Mount Penn and St. Lawrence Boroughs, and Lower Alsace Township require snow/ice to be removed from all sidewalks within 24 hours after the sn...ow ceases to fall. Oley Township requires removal within 12 hours. Sidewalks should be cleared to a width of 30 inches, or the width of the sidewalk. It is a violation of these ordinances to deposit snow/ice in a public street or upon another’s property without their permission. Let’s all work together to keep our community safe!
