Our friends from the Irwin Rotary are still looking for help, please see below. Our Halloween parade is this Saturday, please feel free to drop off donations to... us at the S&T parking lot while registering to be judged for costumes!! Thank you for your continued support of the Care & Share Pantry. We continue to see an increased use of the pantry and we need your help more than ever. The food in this pantry is being used by our friends and neighbors - this food does not get donated outside of Irwin Borough. Can you pick up a few items to donate on your next shopping trip? Here is what we need: Soups & Stews Dry Boxed Cereal Oatmeal Peanut Butter Jelly - plastic jars Pancake mix Granola Bars Dried fruit - boxed Tuna Fish and Canned Meat Boxed Dinners - Mac and Cheese, taco kits, etc Pasta and Rice Packages - Knorr Sides Pasta sauce - canned or plastic jar Jello Crackers - boxed Cookies - boxed Baked Beans Corn Canned Fruit Applesauce Please no dried beans and any food in bags. All food must be in original packaging and must be within usage dates. We cannot accept bread, glass jars, fresh fruit, individual packets of condiments, fresh meats, fresh vegetables, or milk. Our friends at Calvary Church , have a wonderful message to share. This Thursday from NOON-1:00PM we will be distributing 100 (30 lb.) boxes of meat, dairy, and produce at Calvary Church. If you are in need of food or know someone that is, please have them fill out the form linked below. We want to help as many people as we can, but it is first come, first serve. Please share!!! Drive-In Movie at Irwin Park! Irwin Parks & Rec presents Hotel Transylvania 3 at Irwin Park this Friday, October 23rd. Gates open at 6:30PM; movie starts promptly at 7:30PM.... Enjoy watching the movie on our new 40' x 20' big screen from the comfort of your car! $10 per car load, pack 'em in! Light refreshments and snacks will be available for purchase. CASH ONLY! This is an outdoor event. Dress accordingly. Great news!! Leaf collection starts the last week of October and will run until the end of November. Public Works will work diligently to collect all of the leaves Monday through Friday. If you need a pickup done, feel free to contact the office at 724-864-3100. The office staff will be more than happy to make sure they receive your message for pickup.

Please see the below notification from Norwin School District on school closures. Norwin has a total of 7 COVID-19 cases across the District within the past 14 days. Our friend the Irwin Rotary is looking for some community help! See the below post: We would like to thank the community for their support of the Care and Share Pantry! Without the support of the community this project would not be possible. We are in need more than ever for food for the pantry! The use of the Car and Share Pantry has significantly increased due to the COVID19 pandemic. We are in need of the following non-perishable food items: pasta, sauce, canned pastas,... boxed dinners, canned fruit, instant potatoes, stuffing, cake mixes, soups, stews, pudding mix, cereal, cereal bars, baking mixes, oatmeal, canned tuna, canned chicken, and peanut butter. At this time we are asking for items to be in sturdy packaging - please no bagged items such as rice and beans. These items get moved around the pantry and end up ripped open and wasted. To donate to the pantry please bring your non- perishable donations to the following local collection points during their normal business hours. Food should not be left outside of businesses as it cannot be used: - Brandy’s on Main - Cheesecake Caffe - please do not leave food outside -Norwin Chamber of Commerce -S&T Bank Thank you in advance for your donations and support!

Starting Monday 10/5/2020 to 10/8/2020 Western Alley will be closed for road construction from 4th to 5th Street. Please use Main Street to navigate through town. If you have permit parking in Western Alley please contact the Irwin Borough Office to speak with the office staff at 724-864-3100 to give you further instructions.

Irwin EMS is providing free flu shots while supplies last. Monday through Friday 7 am to 3 pm you can call 724-864-3106 to check availability

Today 9/18/2020 Main Street at 6th Street to Pennsylvania Avenue is closed due to a water main break for an undisclosed amount of time.
