We need a volunteer to assist us with safety/weight checks the morning of the event! In order to get 60+ bots through safety, we will be doing safety/weight check at both the main arena, and in the test arena. Ants/beetles without active weapons will safety at the test arena. All mantis and ants/beetles with active weapons will safety at the main arena. I need an experienced builder to volunteer a few hours to run the safety of non-weaponed ants/beetles. Hello Bot Blasters! Registration for Bot Blast 2017 is currently full, but we've received over a dozen requests to open more spots. We have the ability to open Antweight to 32 entries and Mantisweight to 16, but only under the following conditions... Instead of 1 postponement allowed per robot, it will be 1 postponement allowed per team and no postponements allowed for the first fights of the day and no postponements after lunch break. (There will be a test arena inside one o...f the empty stores at the mall next to the pit area). All matches will be shortened to 2 minutes instead of 3. And an understanding that the event will start on time and any robot not thru safety and weight check when the drivers meeting occurs will not compete.
