We hope you are all healthy and well. It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel the Boutique at the Rink for this year, so we are no longer looking for an alternate site for a possible Fall event. Unfortunately the way this COVID 19 virus is spreading makes it very difficult to predict what conditions will be like for the rest of the year and we want to keep you, our valued volunteers, and customers safe. Thank you to all who have reached out to us with encourag...ement and suggestions. We know many volunteers and community members have been doing a lot of cleaning and purging lately and have set aside donations for the Boutique. We have received many inquiries regarding the availability of storing them at our small storage site. Unfortunately we do not have enough space to accommodate everyone's donations, so we ask that you hold on to them for next year, if possible, or donate them to another organization. We would also ask that you keep the organizations we support in your thoughts as they continue to provide services for cancer patients and their families with a greatly reduced budget- the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley, St. Luke's Hospice and St. Luke's Cancer Center. We're sure monetary donations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for all you do, and know that we will miss being with you all! Looking forward to a brighter 2021, Carol and Janet

2020 Boutique at the Rink UPDATE: After much deliberation and discussion, we have decided that the Boutique at the Rink will not take place this May. We are still looking at alternatives, such as rescheduling it for sometime in Fall, or other ways to raise money for our recipients. The rink is not available to us at any other time, so if we want to hold a sale in Fall, it would need to be at a different location. We have been brainstorming possible venues including the vacant... K-Mart building on Rt. 191, Bon-Ton in the Palmer Mall, the Revolutions building on Rt. 378, and even the ArtsQuest tents used for Celtic Classic and Christkindlmarkt. If you have any other suggestions, or know of someone who has a suitable property that we could use for a month at a super low price or free, please let us know ASAP. We are still determining what to do about the raffle and looking at other ways to raise money if we can't have the Boutique this year. If you have any suggestions, please contact Janet or me. If you would please contact your friends and pass on this information, we'd be very grateful. Also, our Facebook page and website will continue to have updated information. We encourage you to visit one of these sites for more information. Thank you for your support and understanding. I know many of us were looking forward to our time together, especially in this time of isolation. Until we meet again, we wish you good health and happiness. Best Regards, Carol and Janet All proceeds benefit the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley, St. Luke's Cancer Center, and St. Luke's Hospice

UPDATE ON VOLUNTEER MEETING: Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus we have decided to cancel the volunteer meetings scheduled for March 27 and 28. We will be working closely with St. Luke's University Health Network and the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley to monitor and assess the risks associated with the outbreak as we determine what effect this may have on this year's Boutique at the Rink. At this point, the collection dates are scheduled for April 30 -May 15. Sale dates are scheduled for May 26-30. As soon as a decision has been made regarding the impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus on our community, we will let you know if/how the Boutique at the Rink will be effected. In the meantime, please try to stay healthy!
