Bradford-Tioga Head Start

Attention Northeast Bradford parents! This evening the Northeast Bradford School District notified us that it needs to pivot to remote/virtual learning for Thursday and Friday, March 18 and 19, 2021, due to COVID-19 positive cases in the district. This will allow time to complete contract tracing and conduct all needed cleaning mitigation. As a result, our Head Start classroom will also need to transition to remote/virtual learning for Thursday and Friday, March 18 and 19 with planned return to in-person programming on Monday, March 22, 2021. We continue to thank you for your patience.

Early Head Start enrolls pregnant women & children birth to age 3 & is a, home-based, federally funded program. Head Start & Pre-K enroll children who will be 3 or 4 years old by September 1, 2021. Head Start & Pre-K Counts are center-based, federal & state funded programs, designed to provide early childhood education services for children. Families must meet Federal Poverty and/or Eligibility Guidelines for all BTHS programs. which are offered at no cost. Applications must be completed by May 3, 2021 for a family to be considered for 2021-2022 selection. However, we will continue to accept referrals & complete applications after these dates to fill openings as they become available throughout the program year. ATTENTION ATHENS 3 FAMILIES! This morning, March 5th, we were notified about a potential COVID-19 exposure in the Athens 3 Head Start classroom. As a result, the classroom has transitioned to virtual programming effective today through Monday, March 15, 2021, for the 14-day quarantine period. The classroom staff will provide virtual lessons for children enrolled in the Athens 3 classroom during this time. If you have a child enrolled in this classroom and your child experi...ences any COVID-19 symptoms, please reach out to your health care provider for guidance. In-person programming will resume on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. Thank you for your understanding and patience in this situation; our goal is to keep everyone safe and healthy.

We have been notified that the Northeast Bradford Elementary (NEB) School will be closed on Monday, March 1, 2021. This is due to 2 NEB school district staff being impacted by COVID. As a result, the school district will be sanitizing the building and we are not allowed to be in the building on Monday. We WILL be able to provide virtual programming for you on Monday, March 1, 2021! We are very excited to be returning to in-person programming on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. Thank you for adapting to this unexpected plan.

New Covenant Church in Mansfield PA is sad to announce that they will be unable to hold the Food Giveaway this weekend on February 27th.

Good news................ Bradford-Tioga Head Start is returning to in-person programming on Monday, March 1, 2021~ This decision is based on the current data in Bradford and Tioga Counties. Both counties have shown decreases in positive COVID-19 cases, the positivity rates, and the incidences per 100,000 positive COVID-19 cases. Parents have done an exceptional job with embracing remote/virtual programming and now we are very happy to be returning to in-person programming.... Thank you for your patience as we maneuvered through this unprecedented time. We look forward to those little smiling faces returning to our classrooms!
