Brandywine Valley Roubaix 02.11.2020

We are so grateful to the Brandywine Valley Roubaix for their many years of support! This year was especially meaningful, as participants rode in extreme heat, ...wore required masks at stops and poured our their hearts (and sweat!) out for our amazing Quest kiddos. Thank you! Feel free to tag anyone you know. Shawn Carey See more

UPDATE as of 6/12/2020 .... Event postponed to July 19, 2020 - details below: Hello Brandywine Valley Roubaix(BVR) riders, First, let me thank you again for supporting our ride. Those of you that have done the BVR in the past know how enjoyable this ride is and we’re very eager to kick off this year’s event. However, as many of you know, COVID-19 is still creating restrictions in the eastern part of Pennsylvania and Chester County is one of those areas still effected. The... GOOD news isthe area has recently entered the Yellow status, and if things go as expected, will soon enter the Green status. At this time we cannot officially hold the ride until we know we’re in the Green status, so even if we move to this status as predicted on 6/17 (2 weeks from yellow status on 6/5), we will not have enough lead time to give you (our riders) notification that the ride is going on as planned for 6/21. Soonce more, because we want to keep the BVR on the ride calendar, and because we all want to get out there a ride safely with friends and fellow riders, we’re going to re-schedule the BVR to Sunday, July 19th. This will give our area ample time to move into Green status and give us plenty of time to properly notify all of you about the ride. We will have a rolling start from 8-9 am with individuals or small groups leaving within the hour window. This will lead to less congestion in the parking/start area, on course, and at the rest stop. Additional details will be shared with participants as we approach July 19. As with our first re-schedule, we understand that some will not be able to make the new 7/19 date, so we’ll be providing refunds up until July 1. Thank you again for supporting this excellent ride and fund raiser, and we’re REALLY looking forward to seeing everyone on 7/19. Stay safe and keep riding! Scott, Bob and Shawn

Brandywine Valley Roubaix Rescheduled for June 21, 2020 Hello all Brandywine Valley Roubaix (BVR) riders, First and foremost, thank you for registering for BVR V. As we all know, COVID-19 has had a serious impact on the spring cycling events with many cancellations and date reschedules. Informal group rides are even being affected. Unfortunately, BVR has also been impacted. Because USA Cycling has suspended all permits until early May, and the CDC has advised against ga...therings over 10 people, we have no choice but to either cancel the event, or reschedule to a later date, when hopefully this health crisis will be behind us. To maintain the spirit of BVR and continue to support our beneficiaries in 2020 (Quest and PA Interscholastic Mountain Bike Association), we have decided to reschedule the event to Sunday June 21, 2020. We hope that most, if not all of you will join us for what promises to be a warmer and greener event this year. There will also be much different scenery with full foliage, and the route is actually even more beautiful than it is in early spring. Of course, we’ll still be having the awesome Whip rest stop and all the great after ride festivities we originally planned. So, update your ride calendars with the new BVR date. We understand that some riders just won’t be able to make this new date. If that’s you, please contact us by email, we’ll be providing refunds or credits up until May 1, 2020. Thanks again for supporting BVR. It’s going to be a GREAT ride, so spread the word! See you on June 21st Scott, Bob, Shawn PS don’t forget to order one of the NEW, limited edition (only 200 available) BVR tee shirts in event items: https://www.bikereg.com/brandywine-valley-roubaix
