In August, we recognized employees company-wide who exhibited our featured Brentwood Habit for the month - Listen With Care! Congratulations to our top winner, Mick! Mick was nominated for the outstanding work he does in the Finance Department. He listens well to his coworkers' needs and asks thoughtful questions to make sure he provides the most detailed and useful financial data required to make sound business decisions. Mick, along with 9 others who were also recognized for listening with care last month, will be rewarded for their great work. Congrats to all!

One of our wheelbarrows full of concrete and hard at work (and, as a bonus, the person in this photo is wearing a Brentwood Building Products shirt to match)! How do you use your Brentwood wheelbarrow?

Today marks 55 years since the founding of Brentwood! This photo shows our first facility: a small, rented building that housed two homemade forming machines and roughly half a dozen employees. Since 1965, we've worked to continually improve our capabilities, expand our product portfolio, and establish a presence around the world. However, we still uphold the same goal we had in 1965: to take on any project big or small, simple or complex to serve our customers’ needs. Cheers to 55 years!

In July, we recognized employees who continually "Raise The Bar" at Brentwood! Congratulations to our top winner, Frank! Frank demonstrates this habit through his continuous push for personal education and professional development. He takes what he learns and brings it into the business by building custom tools and performing training for his colleagues, allowing them to improve their respective areas. Frank, along with 9 others who were also recognized for raising the bar last month, will be rewarded for their efforts. Thanks to all for making Brentwood better every day!

Just like that, our interns are done! But, we still have one more intern to introduce you to. For our final Intern Spotlight, meet Madison! Madison attends Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas. He is a rising senior studying Mechanical Engineering. He joined the Brentwood team to design a system for blades to run continuously between a thermoforming machine and a glue station. Besides mechanical engineering, Madison enjoys riding his dirt bike! We'd like to thank Madison and all of our other interns for the valuable contributions they've made to Brentwood this summer. You've certainly made an impact and taught us a lot, and hopefully we've done the same for you in return. Best of luck in your future endeavors!

This summer's internships are wrapping up, but we still have a couple more interns to introduce you to. This week, meet Carter! Carter is a rising junior at Penn State Berks, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. This summer, he’s working at Brentwood's 621 facility in the quality department. His main project is to verify old check fixtures by making sure the parts line up appropriately. He is using our Romer arm to verify new parts that come into production and also assists our design engineers when they need parts scanned to create a 3D model. In his free time, Carter is an assistant coach for his high school's water polo team. He enjoys golfing as well, although he admits to not being very good at the sport!

For this week's Intern Spotlight, learn a little about Mylee! Mylee is a senior at Case Western Reserve University majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. She’s been taking on several projects during her summer as an Advanced Manufacturing Intern at Brentwood, including end of arm tooling for an IM machine (that was recently manufactured), a sheet checking fixture, and a sheet stacker. She’s been designing and modeling these in SOLIDWORKS. In her free time, Mylee is interested in cooking, baking, and making ceramics. We value all you’ve contributed to Brentwood this summer!

Last month, we recognized employees company-wide who exhibited our June Brentwood Habit: "Seek the Best Solutions". Congratulations to our top winners, Jose and Randy: Jose and Randy work diligently at one of our Reading warehouses to ensure everything is in order and configured properly. Much of this work takes place behind the scenes, so it's especially important to recognize their efforts to seek the best warehousing solutions that will keep our facility organized and running more efficiently. Jose, Randy, and nine others who were nominated by their colleagues for seeking the best solutions will be rewarded for their hard work. Good job to all!
