Please consider donating to help offset medical costs for Brickerville Assistant Chief Jeff Strauss's recent 6-way heart bypass surgery. A long-time fire service volunteer, Jeff has served his community bravely and is a leader and a mentor to many. Thank you, and Stay Safe! https://gf.me/u/y74h97

Important message from Brickerville Volunteer Fire Company about Covid 19. The fire company wants all members of the community to rest assured that we remain available, as always, to respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In an abundance of caution for the safety of our volunteers, members and the community, we have closed the fire station and canceled all activities except responding to emergency calls. We urge everyone in the Brickerville area to... do your part to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus! Stay home except for absolutely necessary travel. Do not run unnecessary errands, do not attend church or other group activities (except online) and do not get together with extended family or friends for social activities. All of these activities may seem harmless, but in reality, they greatly increase the risk of spreading the disease. Rather, except for absolutely necessary errands, stay home and enjoy quality time with your immediate family. When you must go out, maintain a minimum of 6 feet distance between people, and remember to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer frequently. Check up by telephone on elderly friends and relatives. When you must run necessary errands, try to send only one person. Keep in mind that even a person who looks and feels fine may still be carrying the Covid-19 virus and may spread it to people who are at risk. If we are all diligent about following these common sense practices, we will minimize the time for which they are even necessary. As your local fire company, we always feel a tremendous sense of responsibility for the safety and welfare of our community. We are therefore proud to be a leader in circulating this information and encouragement in the Brickerville area. We wish the best to all of our friends, neighbors and local business owners during this time!

When you wake up in the morning and are wondering why the time on your phone is different than the time on your microwave and oven, remember that it is daylight savings time! Do yourself a favor and change your clocks before you go to bed, and change the batteries on your smoke detectors, too! Smoke detectors save lives!

The Lititz Fire Company extends our sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of Meghan Keeney. We have just learned that Meghan has passed away due to... the injuries sustained in the vehicle accident that occurred on October 26th in the area of Warwick High School. We also extend our sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of the Jack Nicholson family. Jack, as you know, passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital. We also continue to lift up the family and friends of Ryan Beebe who also suffered traumatic injury in this accident and continues to fight for his recovery. We do not yet know the specific circumstances that precipitated this event. It is not our position to investigate the cause nor is it our place to pass judgment. A 63 year old woman was also critically injured in this event and we offer our heartfelt concerns for her and her family and friends as well. This event was absolutely horrific and any and all loss of life is difficult. There is no doubt that the young age of Jack, Meghan, and Rylan make the situation much more difficult to bear and reconcile. Their innocence in this event adds another layer of tragedy to this heart wrenching accident.

Brickerville Volunteer Fire Company 20.02.2020

Our thoughts and prayers are with Warwick School District, the families and friends of the students and those otherwise effected by today's events in Lititz.

Brickerville Volunteer Fire Company 02.02.2020

We will never forget.

Brickerville Volunteer Fire Company 10.01.2020

At this moment 17 years ago, millions of Americans went to bed quietly, with no thought that the next morning their world would change forever. That night hundr...eds packed flight bags they would not live to open. Thousands slept with loved ones for the last time. One never knows what a new day has in store. Let us live each day to the fullest, and never miss a chance to let those dearest to us know of our love for them. So TONIGHT if you have someone in your life that you love, tell them... and never forget.
